Pudding from the what?

Pudding. From. The. Sky.

Repeat it with me…pudding from the--never mind. How about I just tell you what it is.

It is a house full of:

Children
Laughter
Teasing
Tears
Hugs
Messy fingers
Slobbery kisses
Dirty footprints
Dirty handprints
I Love You's
I Hate You's
Dancing in the kitchen
Impromptu singing
Contagious laughter
Spontaneous crying
Love letters
Bouquets of flowers
Lego towers
Late night movies
Date night movies
Making endless fun of movies
Band aids
KitchenAids
Eating cookies
(or just the dough)
Cardboard houses
The taste of soap
The great room swap. Numerous times.
Wet towels snapping
1 am bathroom talks (aka endless laughter)
New beds
Used beds
Air beds
No beds
Family Nights
Family Fights
Quoting movies
Making up
New books
Old books
Good books
Poor books
More books. More books. And more books.
Missing Easter eggs
Intelligent conversations
Unintelligible conversations
One conversation in multiple languages
Sibling rivalry
Sibling tag teaming
Mama Bear
Papa Bear
Don't mess with any of the bears in this house.
Daddy monster
Tickle monster
Cookie monster

and Pudding from the sky.  Clear as mud, right? I mean…pudding. The same pudding my eighteen year old was eating one day when the seven year old came up and asked her:

"Where did you get that?"
"Uh…from the sky."
"I want pudding from the sky."

Needless to say the seven year old got some pudding and we all got a good laugh. Because that's what families do best (along with everything else). And we wouldn't have it any other way. Because...

Family: It's about time.
